So..just got back from Canada. Had a great show in Toronto. The crowd was really giddy as was i.

Very enjoyable show i must say. In Cleveland right now. Chillin in my dressing room, just done a little signing with some fans which is always nice. Past few days as always have been crazy.

I was on Tom Joyner (lovely guy) show plugging the fantastic voyage that i'm performing on this Monday in San Francisco. Gotta say i'm a little scared. I hate boats/ships/cruise!! I have only had bad experience's on them. But thank god this one is docked. It ain't moving! Smokey Robinson is performing too.....Aaah i'm soooo.... excited to see him.

I'm not really a birthday gal in all honesty. Everyone of my birthdays have been diasters. Last yr in paticular. You know how it is when you try and bring your whole family/friends together and within 2 mins somebodys fighting ruining your whole buzz...... haha so you see i'm not really a birthday gal.

But.....oh but today felt different. i stopped trying to have a birthday day!....And just enjoyed the fact that i am alive another year, to celebrate what is truly a blessing. Life.

And plus the fact that India Arie pulled me up on stage and sang (beautifully) happy birthday to me, and then got her wonderful milwaukee audience to sing it right back, has really given my 22nd an unforgetable flare.

So you might say this year has been a real lesson. Why are birthdays dreaded the older we get, or focussed on how many gifts we get, or how big a party we have. It is such a personal thing i now get it. It is one more day, One more month, One more year, we have been given on this earth.

Who could ask for a better gift.

P.S  Thank you so much for all the Happy B-days guys Muah x

So back on the road again.

Feels good to be singing everynight again. Makes me anxious when i can't sing.

i'm in good owl Charlotte in North Carolina. Always have a great time when i come down here. And the chicken....oh boy oh boy the chicken...YUM! if i lived down here the fat women in me would have no choice but to be unleashed!!

Had a great show the other night in alexandria...i am still amazed each night by India's audience. They are simply pure music lovers. a wonderful reflection of India.

Just chillin in my hotel room bout to head off for sound check.  My keyboard has been acting up lately. hopefully it will magically be fixed when i get there. pray for me peoples.
