When I first heard Laura sing November 2009 over the radio, I felt as if I had been transported back to the 60's in my 1966 Mustang. WOW! This girl is all about Soul. Even though I have always felt that Aretha Franklin is the Queen of Soul, I must ask her to step aside to make room for a new Queen. I hope that I haven't offended anyoneanyone. I just can't believe my old ears. I am a 58 year old white male who grew up in a very racist South Carolina, USA. I had to listen to Soul music before my father arrived home. My brother and I would listen to a Chicago station late at night. We loved Sam and Dave, James Brown, Sam Cook, Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Wison Pickette, Clarence Carter and so many other Soul Singers. It is very exciting to hear a true Soul singer who is young enough to be my granddaughter.
